Handmade Merino Wool Sweaters
When you purchase a wool sweater, wool jacket or wool cardigan from Fuza Wool, it comes with a quality guarantee. All of their knitwear is made by local craftsmen and women from countries like Nepal, working under fair conditions. This ensures that every product is handmade with the local knitwear traditions that have been passed down through several generations.
This means that their products are not mass produced but handcrafted – and with every purchase you help support the local economy in the area, where the product has been produced.
The Fuza Wool Journey
The Fuza Wool journey began with the founders’ wanderlust, curiosity and desire to use the whole world as a creative work space. On their travels they met and were inspired by local craftsmen and women, who for generations have nurtured and passed down their fine traditions in hand knitting. With their own proud Nordic design traditions, they respectfully blended inspiration from the East, a love of nature and outdoor living and the Danish concept of ‘hygge’, and Fuza Wool was born.
Family Owned Business
Fuza Wool is a family business, and the brand is founded on close relations with the local handicrafters who produce their goods, with a love for their craftsmanship. It’s made with love and with tradition, and it’s as much about family as business. It’s a little piece of the world in pure wool that will provide you with warmth and comfort for many years to come.
How to Care for Merino Wool
All Fuza Wool products are handmade from 100% natural lambswool or Merino wool from New Zealand and the wool naturally contains lanolin which gives it a natural cleansing effect. It still has these natural effects even though it’s no longer on the sheep.
Therefore the best solution for caring for Fuza wool products is to just simply place them outside to air which then starts the natural cleaning process and the wool will keep clean like that for quite a while depending on how much it’s being used. When placed outside in the air all kinds of smell coming from food, smoke or what not then will go away within a short while. If you obtain small stains here and there from, for example, food or such then you can just hand-wash the product with a bit of wool soap in cold water right by the stain instead of washing the entire product.
What Does 'Hygge' Mean?
Hygge (pronounced something like \HEW-guh\) is a quality of coziness that makes a person feel content and comfortable. It's also often used as an adjective meaning "cozy or comfortable." (from Merriam-Webster).
Hygge is all about being in the moment, feeling completely relaxed and centred, letting go of the hectic world around you, either alone or with loved ones. Hygge time in Scandinavia is enjoyed after a busy day of activities. No phones and computers allowed in those magical moments.

If you haven't already done so, we encourage you to add hygge to your living space with some candles, blankets, wearing a cozy Fuza Wool sweater, and anything else that will provide comfort—and then have a hygge get-together.
